Terms of use
Last updated October 24, 2026
ELPVigilante is a prototype built at the 1881 International Hackathon in El Paso, Texas. By using this site you agree to these terms.
What this is
ELPVigilante collects still images from public traffic and border-bridge cameras that their owners publish on the internet (see sources below), and uses AI to describe what each image shows so you can search them. We do not own or operate any of these cameras.
Not for emergencies or safety decisions
- Descriptions are written by an AI model and can be wrong, late or incomplete. A camera can be offline, frozen or pointed elsewhere.
- Do not use ELPVigilante to decide whether a road, bridge or work zone is safe. In an emergency, call 911.
- The service is provided "as is", with no warranty of any kind, and may change or stop at any time.
Acceptable use
- Do not try to identify, track or harass people. The model is told never to describe faces or license plates, and you may not use the site to do so.
- Do not scrape the site in bulk, overload it, or try to access the admin area without permission.
- Camera images belong to their owners. Respect their terms if you reuse them.
